James Nash, 31 from Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, is one of Britain’s leading international touring car drivers. In 2016 he raced for the Silverstone-based Craft Bamboo SEAT Lukoil team in the TCR International Series finishing second in the final standings to reigning champion Stefano Comini. His high points score allied to that of teammate Pepe Oriola did though secure the champion team and car for Craft Bamboo and SEAT respectively.
James last season scored 11 podium results, two more than any other driver in TCR. He won two races, at Estoril in Portugal and at Buriram in Thailand and he hope to continue in the series in 2017 and has a number of offers to do so.
Prior to his TCR campaign and touring car return in 2016 James raced as part of the WRT Audi Sport team in Blancpain GT, a highlight being third place in the 2014 Spa 24 Hour race.
In 2013 James raced in the FIA World Touring Car Championship winning the Independent champion driver title and finishing third in the overall standings.
In 2011 he won the Independent driver’s award in the British Touring Car Championship while racing a Vauxhall for the Triple Eight Race Engineering team.
He is a full member of the British Racing Driver’s Club, the owners of Silverstone Circuit.
Away from racing James is Managing Director of VGroup International based in Milton Keynes and is a keen supporter of both the Driver First Assist road safety initiative and of the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
